Bhai Dooj & Chhath Puja Stickers

Two festivals of the Kartik month in one pack: Bhai Dooj, when sisters put a tilak on their brothers' foreheads, and Chhath Puja, when families stand in the river at sunrise and sunset to offer arghya to the sun. Fifty stickers drawn for HubToolify in sindoor red, marigold saffron and river teal, with greetings in English and Hindi. 50 stickers to download as PNG, SVG or WebP with HubToolify Pro.

Bhai Dooj comes two days after Diwali, on the second day of the bright half of Kartik. A sister prepares a thali of roli, rice, a diya and sweets, puts a tilak on her brother's forehead, performs his aarti and prays for his long life; he gives her a gift and the two share a meal. The same day is called Bhau Beej in Maharashtra, Bhai Phonta in Bengal and Bhai Tika in Nepal. This half of the pack has greetings (Happy Bhai Dooj, भाई दूज की शुभकामनाएं, Best Brother, Best Sister and a few teasing ones), siblings of all ages, and the gifts and sweets of the day: the thali, a dry coconut, mithai, jalebi and a shagun envelope.

Chhath Puja follows four days later, on the sixth day of Kartik, and is most loved in Bihar, Jharkhand and eastern Uttar Pradesh and among their families everywhere. Over four days of fasting and care (Nahay Khay, Kharna, Sandhya Arghya and Usha Arghya), devotees stand in a river or pond and offer arghya to the setting sun and then to the rising sun, holding a bamboo soop heaped with thekua, bananas, coconut, sugarcane and a lit diya. This half has greetings such as Happy Chhath Puja, छठ पूजा की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं and छठ महापर्व, and a devotional set of arghya and ghat scenes.

Chhath is a festival of the sun, and the pack draws it that way: the sun is the sun over the water, and no deity is shown anywhere. The Arghya & Ghat stickers are drawn in a quiet, respectful register and keep their own colours; the other four groups take the pack's colour themes.

Ways to use them

  • Send Bhai Dooj and Chhath wishes in WhatsApp, Telegram or Signal as a transparent PNG or WebP.
  • Decorate photos, reels and stories of the tilak, the gifts or the evening and morning arghya at the ghat.
  • Recolour the Bhai Dooj and greeting stickers with a colour theme (Marigold, River, Peacock); the arghya and ghat scenes keep their colours.
  • Use the SVG on cards, gift tags and sweet-box labels; it scales cleanly for printing at home, and the white border can be switched off.

Questions

Do I need HubToolify Pro to download these Bhai Dooj and Chhath stickers?

Yes. Anyone can browse and preview every sticker. Downloading PNG, SVG and WebP files, the full-pack ZIP, copying a sticker and exporting from the Sticker Creator are part of HubToolify Pro, as for every sticker pack. As a Pro member you can use the stickers in personal and commercial projects such as messages, social posts, cards and packaging, but not resell them as a sticker pack of your own. See the licence for the details.

Are the Hindi greetings spelled correctly?

Yes. भाई दूज की शुभकामनाएं, छठ पूजा की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं and छठ महापर्व are set from the open-licence Baloo 2 typeface with a real text-shaping engine, so conjuncts and vowel signs are formed as they should be, and then turned into vector outlines. The SVG needs no font.

Why do the arghya and ghat stickers not change colour?

They are devotional scenes of the Chhath offering to the sun, so they keep the colours they were drawn in: the dawn and dusk skies, the river, the bamboo soop and daura and the devotees' sarees. You can still change their size, background, border and shadow. Every other sticker in the pack takes a colour theme.

Can I write my brother's or sister's name on a sticker?

Yes. The lettering on the greeting stickers can be rewritten in the Sticker Creator, so "Best Brother" can become a name, and you can add your own words to any sticker before you export a transparent PNG.
