Why use this tool?
- Every platform wants a different shape, such as a square post, a tall story and a wide cover, and resizing each one by hand takes a long time.
- A centre crop often cuts off the subject; choosing a focal point keeps what matters in every version.
- If you do not want to crop at all, you can fill the extra space with a blurred copy of the picture or with plain bars.
- You can make a whole set for a campaign in a single pass.
How to use Social Media Image Resizer
- Drop a picture onto the Picture panel. Its size, file size and ratio are shown.
- Click the thumbnail to set the focal point, the part that has to survive the crop.
- Under How to fill a different shape, choose Crop, Blurred fill or Plain bars; pick the bar or transparency colour where offered.
- Choose a Format, JPEG, PNG or WebP, and set Quality if it applies.
- In the Sizes panel, tick the presets you need, filtering by platform if you like. Instagram Square post, Instagram Story / Reel, X Post and Open Graph are ticked to begin with.
- Press Make N images, check the previews, then download each one or press Download all as a zip.

Tips
- Start with a large, sharp original. The tool never upscales, so a small picture put into a big banner is simply stretched.
- For a portrait photo going into a wide banner, move the focal point to the face. Left at the centre it often lands on the chin.
- Choose JPEG for photographs and PNG when the picture has transparency or sharp text. JPEG fills transparency with the colour you choose.
- Blurred fill is a good choice for putting a wide photo into a tall story, because the empty bands are made of the photo itself.
Frequently asked questions
Is my picture uploaded?
No. The resizing is done on canvases in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
Which platforms and sizes are included?
Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest and TikTok, plus Open Graph, WhatsApp status and email header sizes. Each preset shows its pixel dimensions.
What does the focal point do?
When a crop has to throw part of the picture away, the crop is taken around the point you clicked, so that area stays in frame.
Can I avoid cropping altogether?
Yes. Choose Blurred fill or Plain bars and the whole picture is fitted inside each size, with the spare space filled.
Will a small image look sharp in a large size?
No. The tool does not upscale, so a small picture in a large preset is enlarged by the browser and will look soft.
Can I download one size only?
Yes. Each finished image has its own Download button, and the zip is optional.
Can I try this Pro tool without an account?
Yes. Preview two sizes at up to 640 pixels. Pro renders every size at full resolution and downloads them as a zip. Your own input is processed locally in your browser.
Will upgrading keep my work?
Checkout and login open in a separate tab. Keep the workspace open to retain inputs, settings and previews. Files stay in that tab only; keep the originals in case you close or reload it. Export access is checked with the server after payment.
Your files are processed directly in your browser and are not uploaded to HubToolify's servers.
