Supported formats
Takes two calendar dates and gives text results you can read or copy as a summary. No time of day or time zone is needed.
Tips
- The total hours and minutes are the number of days multiplied by 24 and 1,440, so they do not account for the time of day of the birth.
- Weekdays are Monday to Friday and do not remove public holidays.
- The Chinese sign comes from the calendar year of birth. Before Chinese New Year, the person belongs to the previous year's animal.
- To work out how old someone will be on a future date, such as a deadline, set Age at date to that day.
Frequently asked questions
How are the months and days worked out?
It subtracts the dates part by part. If the day of the month is smaller, it borrows the number of days in the month before the end date, then borrows 12 months from the years if needed.
Can I calculate an age on a future or past date?
Yes. Change Age at date to any day on or after the date of birth. A birth date later than the comparison date shows an error.
Which generation labels are used?
They follow the commonly quoted birth-year ranges: Silent 1928 to 1945, Baby Boomer 1946 to 1964, Gen X 1965 to 1980, Millennial 1981 to 1996, Gen Z 1997 to 2012, Alpha 2013 to 2024, and Beta 2025 to 2039. Years outside those ranges show a note.
How are zodiac signs decided?
By fixed date cut-offs for each month, which are the usual approximate boundaries. People born close to a boundary may find their sign differs in other sources.
What happens if I was born on 29 February?
A note explains that the real date only occurs in leap years. The totals still count every day since birth.
Is my date of birth stored?
No. The calculation happens in your browser and nothing is sent to HubToolify.
